1. Unified Analytics Experiences

In the Summer ’23 release of Salesforce, the Analytics tab and Slack have been integrated to provide a seamless user experience. In a single unified platform, individuals now have the ability to engage with their Lightning reports and dashboards, leverage CRM Analytics resources, and access Einstein Discovery models and forecasts, facilitating seamless interaction across all these features.

The Analytics tab serves as a hub for Lightning reports and dashboards, and CRM Analytics assets, offering advanced search, recommendations, and collections of all analytics. Furthermore, users now have the convenient option to effortlessly distribute analytics with their peers within their Slack workspaces and channels. This can be achieved by utilizing the “Post to Slack” feature available on Lightning dashboards and leveraging the CRM Analytics for Slack application.

To further streamline analytics management, the updated Analytics home provides a personalized environment for CRM Analytics, reports, and dashboards. This cohesive and intelligent experience eliminates the need to manage analytics scattered across different tools, making it easier to find the needed analytics. By utilizing the CRM Analytics for Slack application, recipients gain the ability to access comprehensive dashboard information, share and subscribe to dashboards, view real-time updates, and conveniently open the dashboard directly in Salesforce.

Overall, these enhancements enable Salesforce users to unify their analytics and collaborate more effectively, leading to better decision-making and efficiency. The Summer ’23 release of Salesforce represents a significant step forward in the platform’s analytics capabilities.

2. Lightning Reports and Dashboards

Salesforce Summer ’23 offers a unified and seamless experience for all Analytics assets by making the Analytics tab the centralized hub for Lightning reports and dashboards. Unleashing additional potential for Unlimited Edition users, they can elevate their Lightning dashboards by incorporating visuals, enriching the content with text formatting options, and implementing up to five customizable dashboard filters.

The updated Lightning dashboard now supports up to 25 widgets, including 20 charts and tables, two images, and 25 rich text widgets. Users can also add company logos, branding, and flow diagrams to explain dashboard charts, metrics, and tables. They can guide users through data with section titles, narrative text, and even animated GIFs. In addition, users can refine and target dashboard data by applying up to five filters, reducing redundancy and saving time and effort. The limit for filters was previously three.

To share analytics with colleagues across Slack workspaces and channels, users can utilize the “Post to Slack” option on dashboards. Dashboard details can be accessed by recipients who can view, share, subscribe, and even take a real-time snapshot of the dashboard. Additionally, they can easily open the dashboard within Salesforce for further analysis.

The new Analytics tab serves as a cohesive and personalized environment for all analytics, providing a centralized location tailored to data needs. The intuitive search functionality enables users to quickly find the data they need, while Collections allow them to curate and categorize important data and insights, promoting collaboration with colleagues.
