saasguru is Scaling Up with New Seed Funds of 4 Million AUD

Whoopee!!!! saasguru has yet again raised a whopping 4 Million AUD in the second seed funding round led by Square Peg Capital on November 29, 2022, for its exceptional contribution to the cloud workforce with its pro bono courses to address the Cloud skill shortage.

saasguru raised $1.3 million in the first Seed round in January 2022, funded by Sydney VC Square Peg and Black Nova. This was a significant breakthrough for the Co-founders, Amit Choudhary and Atif Saad, by being able to land the funding within six months of establishing the venture.

In the second seed funding round led by Square Peg Capital on November 29, 2022, we raised AUD 4 million (USD 2.7 million). The pre-seed investors coming back within 11 months with double the amount is a strong signal that they are here to make some waves. 

“The community’s growth in the first six months has been impressive, and the team is working fast to expand the platform’s offerings so that they can offer certification preparation for all major cloud software,” Square Peg President Tucy Tan said. According to recent studies, AWS has reported that there will be an increase in the need for cloud computing professionals, especially in the Asia Pacific region. Tan added that saasguru would successfully bridge the gap between the increased cloud skill requirement and the decreased number of qualified professionals. 

What Makes saasguru Different from other Ed-Tech Platforms?

The saasguru duo was in the limelight in 2018 when their previous venture Saasfocus was acquired by the IT giant Cognizant for an undisclosed sum. Saasfocus was established in 2014 as a Salesforce consultancy. Salesforce was not very popular then, and there was an immense talent shortage. This deficit of skilled professionals gave the concept and vision for saasguru. The training program at saasguru was able to create 360 skilled consultants at the time of acquisition.
